Hi Gateway community!

Well that was certainly a quick Q1! It’s nearly two months since we announced our $4.6 million combined seed funding round, and this investment is being put to good work — accelerating the development of our product suite, the provision of advanced staking services and adding firepower to our fantastic team.

Since that last major announcement, we’ve been making headlines in top media outlets such as Benzinga, Investing.com, Business Insider and The Fintech Times — with members of our leadership team being interviewed by an array of blockchain and Web3 journalists. We’ve also been busy behind the scenes expanding our partnership network!

Today, we have another special announcement to make! We’re delighted to let you all know that we’re taking our partnership with Polygon to the next level, specifically to deliver a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for Web3 developers to build applications with Polygon Supernets.

As the implementation partner for Polygon Supernets — Polygon’s interoperability network — we will be providing reliable node infrastructure, best-in-class validators and robust development tooling to help Web3 projects scale at pace.

Polygon Supernets is a network of blockchains built on the Polygon ecosystem that enables interoperability between different blockchain networks. It allows for the seamless transfer of assets and data between blockchains, creating a more connected and accessible ecosystem.

Today’s news represents the latest chapter in our relationship with Polygon, having recently announced our support for their zkEVM — a Layer 2 scaling solution that leverages Zero-Knowledge proofs to enhance the scalability and efficiency of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) on the Polygon network.

Commenting on the news, Cuautemoc Weber, Co-Founder and CEO of Gateway.fm said:

“Today’s announcement marks a significant seal of approval for the Gateway solution from another top industry player, giving us a unique opportunity to help builders on Polygon Supernet to realise their Web3 visions. We are firmly aligned with the Polygon vision to enable greater collaboration and innovation across multiple networks, as we work to keep the spirit of decentralisation at the heart of Web3.”

Mihailo Bjelic from Polygon, Co-Founder of Polygon also commented on the significance of the partnership, saying:

“Gateway.fm is already supporting our zkEVM solution, and is the first to support zkEVM RPC endpoints. We’re delighted to extend the partnership scope to Supernets — our interoperability network — and to leverage Gateway’s exceptional technical, development and seamless tooling implementation experience in the months ahead.”

Sunny A. Kaiwar, Polygon Implementation Partner Lead also chimed in on the news, adding:

“The overarching goal of Polygon Supernets is to create a high-speed, low-cost, and highly scalable blockchain network that can support a wide range of dApps and services. As the first truly decentralized blockchain infrastructure node provider, Gateway is democratising access to scalable Web3 infrastructure at a very important time in the evolution of the Web3 industry. The synergies between Gateway and Polygon are clear, and we are excited to support each other in our respective missions.”

We’re very excited to continue building on this amazing momentum, and we look forward to sharing further updates in due course. Keep an eye on our official Twitter account for the latest updates!

Also, we’re always on the lookout for like-minded Web3 projects who share our vision for decentralization, so feel free to get in touch if you think there could be interesting synergies to pursue!
